The Moon and the Stars

A pair of rings made after hard times finally ended

They had met in a season when nothing seemed stable. Between them there were partings, silence, long nights, and almost enough doubt to break the whole thing apart. But they kept choosing each other, until the road finally led them to the same place. On the day they promised never to leave each other again, they thought of the moon and the stars. The moon does not abandon the night sky, and the stars never stop standing beside it, even when the clouds pass through. They came to me with that feeling and asked for two rings: one like the moon, with a soft and quiet surface, and one like the night sky, carrying a small cluster of stars. Each ring is closed and complete on its own, but together they make one sky. No matter how far apart they are worn, they are still looking at the same moon and the same stars.

A couple commissioned this pair after a difficult road finally led them together. They chose the moon and stars as a promise to stay beside each other.
